Celebrate National Sake Week with a traditional Kagami Biraki (sake barrel opening ceremony) at Oni Izakaya, followed by a Japanese painting workshop hosted by the Oni team. The evening will also feature a special guest shift from Samuel Boulton, representing National Sake Week.
 

National Sake Week Poland 2026 will take place from 20th to 26th July 2026, bringing a dynamic, week-long celebration of Japanese sake culture to key cities across Poland. Building on the growing interest in premium Japanese beverages and gastronomy, the 2026 edition will connect industry professionals, hospitality venues, and consumers through a curated programme of education and events.

The week will feature specialist training sessions in Gdańsk and Warsaw, designed for hospitality professionals, sommeliers, and drinks enthusiasts looking to deepen their knowledge of sake, its production, styles, and food pairings. Alongside these educational initiatives, a series of public events and venue activations will take place across Gdańsk, Warsaw, Łódź, and Kraków, showcasing sake through tastings, pairing menus, and collaborative experiences.

National Sake Week Poland aims to strengthen the presence of sake within Poland’s evolving food and drink scene by fostering connections between Japanese producers, local distributors, and the hospitality community. By combining education with accessible, engaging events, the 2026 programme will highlight sake’s versatility and cultural significance while encouraging new audiences to explore and enjoy it.
